We thoroughly enjoyed working with DJ Richie and Desi Jams Entertainment. From the time I called DJ Richie to first get an understanding of his services till the end of the night dancing at our reception, DJ Richie never compromised his dedication to supporting the couple he was working with. He responds within minutes via phone/text/email and would make sure he could attend meetings with our venue to fully understand floor plan and venue requirements. He was always prompt during our 1:1 meetings and very observant and a great listener. Never dishonest or rude in his style and always open to working with our decorator as well to make the whole day's experience amazing. The dhol player that he recommended to my husband for their baraat was loved by everyone, even those who don't like to dance 😉 All of his services from DJing, emciing, to the quality of the gobos/monograms and sparklers/fog set were all of high caliber. If working with a collaborative, honest, and responsive DJ company who also provides quality services at a VERY fair price is important to you, I HIGHLY recommend DJ Richie and the Desi Jams Entertainment team.

DJ Richie did an amazing job on our wedding day! He was such a pleasure to work with - very responsive, took the time to understand us and what was important for our big day. We had a very diverse group for our events and he ensured he was inclusive of everyone and played all types of music to make everyone feel welcomed. We booked Desi Jams for our wedding on recommendation from our wedding planner and we couldn't be happier with he choice that we made. Richie was great to work with and flexible. We told him we had a very specific genre of music we wanted for the wedding (90's hip-hop/pop/Bollywood and modern Bhangra/Punjabi) and he was very accommodating and knew how to make the perfect mixes. He's got a real feel for the vibe of the crowd, so he knows when to play the perfect song. On top of his music, the LED screen was great for displaying our pictures and videos during the reception and his lighting matched the decor for the perfect touch. He recommended a great Dhol player for the Baraat and the reception and kept the party going all the way until the end of the night! We loved working with Desi Jams and would recommend them for any event!

DJ Richie Rich was an excellent DJ in the times I have required his services. He provided music, uplights, and other services for both my Jago and my wedding reception. He is easy to work with, and is open to your requests while also putting thA M A Z I N G ! We have gotten many compliments from our Jago celebration and wedding on the music and how great the DJ and MC were. The set up was beautiful and our Gobo as well Thank you so much again Richie for making our special days amazing ! All my future brides book with DesiJams Ent !e right twists on them. His knowledge of both classic Punjabi Bhangra music as well as modern hits, and everything in-between, appealed to the crowds in both of my events. He also has an excellent understanding of where he needs to be to maximize his effect; for example, at my Jago, which was held in my parents' home, he saw that the dance floor would be a better place for his DJ station than the garage, which was away from the dance floor and away from the guests. Even after he had set up, he still chose to sacrifice convenience for the sake of my guests having a good time. For the reception, he and his associates had come early to set up, and of the many compliments I received for the reception, one was his incorporation of bhangra into many 80s/modern songs. This really appealed to many of my guests who had never attended a Punjabi wedding before and thus allowed them to have fun on the dance floor, while many of the Punjabi people who had attended this wedding thought the music was refreshing and different from the usual hits that are played at Punjabi weddings. I can't recommend DJ Richie enough. I and my wife were more than satisfied with his services, and I will be recommending him to all my friends and family.

The most amazing DJ I have worked with! He not only provided DJ'ing for our 2-day wedding event, but also provided lighting, special effects, dholi information, and much more. He was very responsive to emails and text messages, provided me with all the information I needed, and was very flexible with any changes. All my guests commented endlessly on the amazing lighting, gazebo effects, and music that made my family dance all night! I would recommend him without hesitation, definitely looking to him for future events 🙂

I was so glad I found Desi Jams Entertainment for my wedding reception. I talked to Richie and he gave me a great package for an amazing price! He was always available to take my calls, and gave great ideas when I asked for help planning the reception. He also completely understood the music style that we wanted for the night, and it made such a memorable experience. All the guests were complimenting the music choice and atmosphere even days after the event! Our first dance was even grander than I had hoped for because of the "dancing in the clouds" effect that he organized. I definitely recommend Desi Jams for any event; they are such an amazing team and he made our night the night I always dreamed of!

Excellent choice for a South Asian wedding, and beyond as long as you give them an adequate playlist. They have a lot of playlists to adapt to the needs of the event and do a great job of accommodating song requests to make everyone happy! Looks like Bhangra/Bollywood is their specialty, but they can look up any song! Joda is an excellent DJ/individual. He was flexible throughout the event, a great emcee when asked to make announcements, easygoing when I was under stress and a calming presence throughout the event. We are really grateful/happy to have chosen Desi Jams as our DJ for our wedding event. I will definitely be using/recommending them in the future.

DJ Richie was one of the best DJs I've worked with. We were looking for DJs that could help us out for my brother's engagement party and he came highly recommended by some of our family friends. He was very accommodating and made sure to incorporate all our requests. He was very patient with our asks and even gave us suggestions on how to make the event run more smoothly. He worked with us to make sure that he would fit our budget. I would definitely higher Richie again for our next event when we need a DJ. He won't disappoint!

We talked to 7 different DJs before deciding to go with DJ Richie for our wedding. He played Spanish, American and Indian music at our fusion wedding. He worked with all of our requests and was very communicative throughout the planning process. He was able to feel the crowd to play the right music despite the fact that we gave him little direction. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for South Asian music at their event.

By far, the best DJ I have ever worked with. DJ Richie was extremely easy to work with from the very beginning, met all our demands, had the best lighting set-up, and his team did a superb job with MC'ing for my sister's wedding at The Club at Ruby Hill in Pleasanton. He far exceeded our expectations. He is very detailed and played the most perfect music at the appropriate time. The guests stayed on the dance floor and partied all night. Best night ever!

We hired DesiJams for my brothers wedding reception and they exceeded all of our expectations. From music, to the lighting, to the sound; everything was awesome. As far as music, it's usually hard to please everyone because everyone has such different tastes, but they somehow managed to do it. The dance floor was packed from beginning to end. As people, they were all really down to earth and pleasant to deal with. They came up with a lot of creative ideas but they were also very open to our input as well. From the day we first contacted them, to the end of the reception, they pretty much did whatever they could to make sure our event was perfect!

Desi Jams deejayed my cousin's wedding and my engagement party back to back last weekend, and they did an amazing job! They played a great combination of classic hits and new music with perfect transitions, which the crowd loved. They are also easy on the eyes, which the ladies loved . Our music choice is a little different than normal desi families, so we have had very bad luck with DJs in the past (the last one packed up and left mid-party because we made too many requests and asked him to play our music!!). Desi jams are the opposite of that. They are extremely professional, and will be our DJ of choice for all future parties! We had Richie as our DJ on our wedding at Elliston Vineyards on 22nd June 2019. He did an amazing job with the beats and the music, the crowd didn't stop dancing till the end of the night, he was very accommodating, pleasant to talk to and took care of all the arrangements on the day of the wedding. I was very comfortable in dealing with Richie on personal level and the music choices he presented on the day of the wedding was just mind blowing. Completely content with him, great job!

I recently had my wedding and reception function in Elk Grove and I hired Desi Jams Entertainment for my big day. Richie was spot on right from the very first email correspondence I had with him. He gave me the right recommendations based on my venue in terms of the lighting, sound system that will be needed. Richie and his team went above and beyond our expectations. They were truly exceptional. In fact my wife and I had requested to meet Richie to go over all the schedule for the wedding and reception and he accommodated our request very quickly and we went over everything in person. We also had many songs that we needed a mix of and Richie helped us out here as well. All our guests loved the DJ that we had for our big day. Amazing experience with Desi Jams whom we hired recently for a birthday party at our home. The DJ rocked the party with foot-tapping numbers all night. He was very accommodating to our requests. Desi Jams even provided lighting for our event and had top-notch equipment. Absolutely amazing stuff- would highly recommend them!

Desi Jams deejayed my sister's wedding reception. They were amazing! All the latest songs mixed with oldies, everyone had a blast dancing all night.
